Haroldo Jacobovicz: Brazilian Civil Engineer and entrepreneur

Haroldo Jacobovicz is a Brazilian Civil Engineer and entrepreneur who has developed innovative and disruptive businesses for over 30 years. Haroldo is the founder and president of the IESA Group, a private company with a portfolio of more than 100 Market-leading companies with a presence in 8 different countries. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Mechanical Engineering and has had nearly four decades of experience as an engineer, entrepreneur, and executive.

Among Haroldo Jacobovicz most recent projects are The Center for Corporate Excellence – CCE, inaugurated by President Dilma Rousseff on November 2nd, 2015; the Haroldo Jacobovicz School for Business Administration; and the new Hermética Hotel Complex in Brazil.

Haroldo is developing a new project called “The Center of Excellence” in Pretoria (South Africa), which will be inaugurated during the first trimester of 2016. Also, during the same period, Haroldo will start the construction of the new headquarters of IESA Group in São Paulo.

Haroldo is also a member of several organizations: The Brazilian Association of Engineering and Engineering Technologists; The Brazilian Association of Entrepreneurs. He is one of the principal founders and former president of ABEEF’s National Councils – UFC Sao Paulo and Federation in São Paulo 2016-2018; Also, he has been a member of ABE’s International Advisory Council since 2010.

In May 2012, he was appointed President of ABEEF. In May 2013, he was appointed Vice-President of the International Alliance for Market and Operations Management, an organization composed of professionals from the world’s leading companies in strategy, marketing, innovation, and operations. In July 2013, he was elected as one of ABE’s three vice-presidents.

Haroldo is responsible for the development and growth of companies such as Plastic Surgery, S.A., which was founded in 1989 and developed in just a few years, from a start-up to one of the most essential and successful cosmetic surgery laboratories in Brazil; It serves more than 800 hospitals throughout Brazil providing surgical supplies; has an annual turnover of over BRL 100 million per year: with nearly 1000 employees through three production plants and ten sales offices located throughout Brazil. In 1994, he founded IESA Group, a private company with a portfolio of more than 100 Market-leading companies with a presence in 8 different countries. One of the most recent projects spearheaded by Haroldo is The Center for Corporate Excellence CCE.
